About SusieHi, I am Susie Brown.

A faith based business owner.  I am a wife and mom of two amazing adult children and Gammy to 6 beautiful grandchildren.  As a creative entrepreneur and the inventor and distributor of Susie’s Mesh Rollers, I have a passion for organization and creating beautiful things.  I love to sew, wreath making and other crafts .  I am also a published author of the novel “Small Wonders.”

In the Fall of 2017, I discovered the art of wreath making and wanted to give it a try.  After successfully selling many of my wreaths I was encouraged to start a small business.  In the process of my business start up I took it to Facebook as  Susie’s Wreaths and Things  and began doing live demonstrations with a very small audience of 5 or 6 viewers at a time.  There was nothing spectacular about what I was doing but I was having a lot of fun.

 

Then it Happened

During the process of learning the different wreath making techniques I discovered a problem when it came to working with deco mesh.  It was difficult to manage as it would curl up and roll away from me as I tried to work with it causing a lot of frustration.  One day in November, I had an idea of something that would make what I was doing so much easier.  I drew something on a piece of paper and took it to my husband and asked “Can you make this for me?”  He looked at it and headed straight out to the garage.  Within a short period of time he came back in the house and handed me the very first Mesh Roller!   Little did I know what was about to happen.

When I started using the Mesh Roller to make my wreaths I was thrilled with how much it helped me get the job done.  But the day I used it on my first Facebook live, was when everything changed.  People started asking me where I got that “thing” I was using.  My response was that my husband made it for me and I left it at that.  Over a period of a couple of weeks, many people asked me about it and I asked my husband if he wanted to make a few because I was sure I could sell them but he always said no.  He was too busy with work and just didn’t have the time.  So I decided to find someone to make them for me and I did.  After a lot of trial and error I launched the first Mesh Roller on January 29th, 2018.  The response was overwhelming and my Mesh Roller was an instant success.  Who knew?  God did, that’s who.
