Organized people are not born…they’re made. Whether you are an organized person or NOT, defines the quality of your life. The power of putting everything in it’s place, improves all aspects of your life, from work to home, play, personal relationships, and professional reputation.
Your world reflects how you think. Do you have clutter of the brain? Are your thoughts swimming around the issues in your life instead of coming up with a plan? Now is the time to organize your thoughts. I call it a data dump! Too much unnecessary data taking up space in your brain weighs you down and keeps you from being productive.
Do you spend 10 minutes a day looking for your car keys, an hour or two a week looking for a file somewhere on your hard drive? Were you passed over for a promotion at work because your desk is a mess? Have you been late for meetings, missed deadlines, or left out because you didn’t check your email? The level of your organizational skills determines your credibility at work, with friends and family.
We live in an overstuffed world and getting organized is about unstuffing your life.
From clearing out the dead weight in places from your closet to your calendar to your computer. It’s about installing systems that keep the good stuff in it’s place
Getting organized is a liberating and enlightening experience that can enhance your effectiveness and lessen your stress every day, and is yours simply for saying “No” to clutter.
The most disorienting form of clutter is mental. Mixing up your mind with commitments you can’t keep track of, things you can’t find or don’t know how to do, or chaotic surroundings can cause stress and block basic cognitive processes. If you find it hard to make a decision; if you frequently have to go back to the office, the store, or home to pick up something you left behind; if your worried that you can’t accomplish what’s expected or needed, from cooking dinner to finalizing a deal, then you’re probably suffering from confusion caused by mental clutter.
When you get organized, you’ll gain planning, time-management, and placement techniques to clear your mind and de-stress your life. Getting organized is like growing new brain cells – an all natural upgrade to your gray matter.

Susie,
Ever since Christmas I’ve felt very cluttered and disorganized inside and out! I feel too busy and stressed to read through all your baby steps today, but I definitely will in the future. Good stuff!!
